The frame is strengthened by adding a carbon strip to the aluminium profile. With this hybrid technology, mix of carbon and aluminium, performance is better than any other previous frame.
Fatigue breakage of the profile could be eliminated as the heddle rod is now glued to the frame profile.
In addition, stresses on your side braces during high speed weaving are cancelled out by the unique flexible corner connection design.

Unparalleled strength
The unparalleled strength of the HybridPower 158 is created by the unique combination of the low-weight aluminum profile and the high-strength carbon fiber, making the frame profile 80% stronger than any previous design. The profile is connected to the braces with the successful R-Flex corner connection, reducing the high stresses in both profile and side brace.

Innovative adhesive-bonded heddle rod
Another innovation is the first adhesive-bonded heddle rod ever. This new design (patent pending) not only strengthens the complete profile, it also avoids the riveting that was a major cause of fatigue breakage in the past. The frame is also equipped with heddle dampers, as used on the famous Steel Heddle XLF 152.

Extra reinforcements
To further strengthen the frame, it also features a newly designed center support and a reinforced third drive point. Both features are necessary for weaving in wide widths without compromising on top speeds.

Weaving without center supports on wide widths
For voile & sheeting, no center support is needed on 340 and 360 cm loom widths. Clearly advantageous in your weaving mill: it prevents marks in the fabric and voids the time-consuming installation. In specific cases, a center support can be supplied, with a new design to ensure correct usage by the operator.
