Jet-Eye®
Steel Heddle® was the first company that launched the special formed eye design for reduced filamentation. This unique heddle design, called JET EYE®, was already patented in 1994, the first patent for such heddle eye type.
The specialty of the JET EYE® is that it has a “zero degree” eye whereas a regular heddle has a 27° angle and competitors "special" heddles have 7 to 9° heddle eyes.
The JET EYE® design improves significantly the warp yarn passage through the eye, lowers the friction between de heddle and adjacent ends & reduces warp related warp loom stops. This most gentle treatment of delicate or special yarns prevents yarn chaffing, filamentation and breakage and thus improves significantly your fabric quality.
Further, the JET EYE® allows up to 32% higher heddle density. Therefore it is possible to use fewer harness frames resulting in higher speeds and reduced energy consumption.
