Ceramic-like versus Diamond-like
Te Strake Textile relay nozzles are coated with a standard ceramic-like or a diamond-like coating to avoid wear and yarn cuts. The newest diamond-like DLC coating is superior to the ceramic-like coating and specially recommended for abrasive warp yarns like dull polyester and yarns treated with aggressive sizing or additives.
Both ceramic-like and diamond-like coated nozzles are extremely high polished to reduce warp friction to the absolute minimum thus avoiding yarn friction and warp damage.
